This is a (not technical) cyber security report (part one) on North Korea cyberwarfare activities. It’s recent (15th June 2017) and reviews the alleged activities of the N. Korean state in the context of the other foreign operations and tactics conducted by its Reconnaissance General Bureau (RGB).
“The RGB and its predecessor organizations are believed responsible for a series of bombings, assassination attempts, hijackings, and kidnappings commencing in the late 1950s, as well as a litany of criminal activities, including drug smuggling and manufacturing, counterfeiting, destructive cyber attacks, and more.”
What I find most interesting is that the list of “criminal and terrorist” activities ascribed to North Korea are pretty much the same as those conducted by the secret services and private security firms of Western powers…. I guess only the West is allowed to pursue these with impunity.
