“Critical” metals: a weird cross between supposedly safeguarding supplies and price manipulation. For example, aluminum, one of the commonest metals in the Earth’s crust, is on the list, while silver is not (and now most US silver comes from just TWO mines in Alaska, and JPMorgan for some reason has 2000 tons of the stuff)
