“Hellier fans are no doubt anticipating the upcoming Penny Royal podcast. It’s going to provide a much more in-depth account of the mysterious Somerset, KY that plays such a crucial role in the second season of Hellier. Satanic cults allegedly linked to the military and implicated in drug and sex trafficking are hardly the only curiosities that Somerset has witnessed over the years. Not by a long shot.

As I’m involved in the Penny Royal project I’m not doubt biased in this regard. But the synchronicities are quite incredible, as I hope to illustrate in this post. One particular aspect of Somerset and Hellier that the show invoked was the location of either town upon the mysterious 37th parallel. In recent years, the 37th has developed a reputation as the “UFO Highway” or “Paranormal Highway” due to the staggering amount of high weirdness reported along it”
