So, if we accept that “G” was designed as a weapon, was its target a Who or a What? And what caused the then civilization to essentially disappear or to at least significantly diminish in number? Was it ‘fallout’ from the use of the weapon? Was the weapon less effective in its purpose and a ‘What’ target only partially destroyed with its remnants raining down destruction? And, if the target was a ‘What’, was it necessary to destroy it or would it have produced a better outcome by simply using the weapon to redirect it?
