I check actual radar and review the prior and incoming storm path to guess the projection. I consider the weather reporting as opinion. a few minutes outside when the leaves flutter… its the end of the dry season here, so rain makes me and my plants quite happy. tornado alley is probably less predictable.
stay safe, we all know how…[Read more] -

“Recent destructive hacks have proved that federal action alone can’t protect the cyber infrastructure.” Really? They’ve proved it? Has anyone, anywhere shown that cyber infrastructure is capable of being completely protected? Sure… let’s just outsource the entire U.S. government to private corporations. Think of the savings from cutting o…

here is a nice poem
To be of use
The people I love the best
jump into work head first
without dallying in the shallows
and swim off with sure strokes almost out of sight.
They seem to become natives of that element,
the black sleek heads of seals
bouncing like half-submerged balls.I love people who harness themselves, an ox to a heavy…[Read more]

Today at the ladies lunch one person said “everyone has had their shots, right”. Well I said I am waiting for all the data from the experiment to be analyzed. When I say this,I usually get puzzled looks. I did get that confused stare from most of the table. It was nice when about 1/3 of the table said yea, they don’t really know what…[Read more] -

I watched a few episodes and the only good part was the survival techniques, not sure how it ended.-
I just couldn’t understand why Prime would present this series as one of their Originals, when it exposes just what their compadres are doing. Don’t see what’s up?

the book referenced in the linked tweet seems gizaish. https://twitter.com/OakieJs/status/1383915813531312129
is this book cited in one JPF’s books?
would it be gauche to say that I would like a translation with extra discussion and additional photos

Athanasius Kircher is mentioned in The Tower of Babel Moment. A very interesting character. I’m reading Athanasius Kircher The Last Man Who Knew Everything. His prints are mesmerizing. Check out his Sunflower Clock.

Fabulous find Laura! I found a link with some of the diagrams – https://publicdomainreview.org/essay/athanasius-underground
The one illustrating the fire inside the earth reminds me of one of the Scottish carved stone balls. Correlation? Something to ponder further.

when I try to speculate on the why, ecology models pop up in my mind. climate change seems to be a proxy representing consumption and exploitation, climate change as a predicted negative consequence itself is too vague and imprecise. biodiversity is down and toxicity is up in the food supply for all creatures and habitat is shrinking,…[Read more] - Load More

The Coming of Neo-Feudalism: A Warning to the Global Middle Class
The government takes its orders and get its information from corporations. Focusing on limiting government authority is worthy but avoids the real serious threat to liberty.
