Have just finished reading Shashona Zuboff’s tome ‘The Age of Surveillance Capitalism’…this interview puts a whole new perspective on the material in that book! AI plans are not looking too human friendly…I hope Arnie is still around (in his Terminator 2 guise) when the SHTF π

Something more interesting than the bug π https://stillnessinthestorm.com/2020/05/defying-physics-by-breaking-the-laws-of-thermodynamics/

Out of all of my adventures in free-speech on twitter and 4chan, nothing got me more animosity than stating my admittedly layman opinion that the second law of thermodynamic is invalid because it is describing an impossibility.
I have yet to find someone explaining it without reverting to name-calling and loud noises.
The problem with the second…[Read more]-
Like you, I am a layman here, but will speak anyway. In my early 20’s I had one of those ‘spiritual experiences’ that come from ‘nowhere’…hard to go through, hard to understand, and I am still trying to do so, one of the reasons I joined this community. The experience though did leave me with the very strong intuitive feeling that everything,…[Read more]

Thanks Margaret, and to Dana too, for posting this one. I’m in ‘disfavour’ with Paypal cos I haven’t used my ‘account’ in 10 years, so RIR is not an option. Will listen with interest π

Great piece of work! Just finished all the banker blogs…it really gives one a stronger grasp of the whole ‘scenario’ when you have them aggregated like this…now onto aircraft carriers and weird science π

Found the CRI site, and discovered this very interesting article from a link on one of the CRI listed articles. Stephen Jay, writing about the marriage of rhythm and harmony…can’t say I immediately understand it all, but I will look into it and share with some musical friends π http://www.stephenjay.com/articles/hr.html

Apologies that the Robert Gover link above was bad. If you go to archive.org and search for Robert Gover you’ll see a free audio recording listed there. If you click on that Icon you’ll see several link possibilities. You can also listen directly from the archive.org site. Interesting interview. Good Luck!

Great article from CRI…am now wondering if there is a follow up article from them on the causes of such cycles. I will check out the CRI website if one exists, but if you already have such info Scarmoge, can you post me a link? I tried the second link, but google can’t find it right now π

Good interview this one…the conversations with you Dr Farrell and Daniel are always ‘well informed’ π

This one is by way of perverse entertainment, and is for Dr Farrell in particular…I will name the cat Arnold and I’m sure you will get my meaning π I have a good friend here in Manila, an expat American who specializes in ‘Free Jazz’ improvisations; I am reluctant to send him this post cos I doubt he would get my sense of irony in doing…[Read more]

I canβt remember how long ago, but Joseph did have a blog comparing Schoenbergβs contrived βexpressionismβ with the innate talent of Nora the Piano Cat … personally, Iβd rather listen to Noraβs improvisations and the CATcerto than Schoenberg π

Thanks Laurent, and I do appreciate both sarcasm and self deprecating humour too mate π I have accessed archive.org, with some success, and with some ‘failures’ re supposed titles found there that don’t come up when I go looking. As you say, there is a mountain of material there, and whilst the digital format is not as good as hard copy, it will…[Read more]

Have spent the day listening to this podcast, watching video on the Saturn hypothesis and then reading from Troy’s website. Whew, what a rush lol At least I feel more ‘knowledgeable’ re material discussed in my first vid chat last Friday, so a ‘productive’ day for me. The whole story Troy writes of on his website reads like a Hollywood script, but…[Read more]

Thanks again BillyBob…yes, pulling oneself up by whatever means is our common experience. I’m enjoying the bumpy ride, happy just to be in the saddle for now. I will look at the references you provide and see what ‘treasures’ I can find therein. I do already have the archive.org website saved…it’s where I got stuff on Giordano Bruno, and I…[Read more]
