Greetings to all from Manila. Yesterday was my first live vid chat, and it was very much an eye opener in so many ways…a generous and extremely interesting community is my lasting impression. Needless to say, in any collection of ‘like minds’ (if I might deign to use such an expression re this group) is going to have a great deal of difference in talents, in information, in ideas expressed and in understanding; I have my own ‘reasons’ for being here, mostly to do with following a life long quest for understanding after a profound ‘spiritual experience’ in my early 20’s. I won’t go into a long description of this, but it forced a major change in my then more or less scientific materialist worldview, and led to (private) studies of philosophy, metaphysical writings, mythology, history, science, politics, and included dabbling in occult writings and practice as well…nothing ‘serious’ but I did study astrology quite intently for a time, though in the end, through my experience of it, I stepped back from further involvement in that field, remaining as a mere ‘observer’, occasionally reading material that I came across. I was born working class poor, and have never had the kind of resources that many here seem to have access to. My reading has been done mostly through public library access in Australia, and whatever books I could get my hands on, so in essence it has been limited. I do have a handful of Dr Farrell’s books, and will buy more as circumstances permit…I survive now, at age 67, on a pension that supports 4 people here in the Philippines, and with no work (I am a playing musician…drum set being my instrument), finances are tight right now. Thus, I now have a request for those within the group who might see this message. I have found some ‘free’ stuff online, specifically work by Webster Tarpley, and some translations of Bruno that I wanted to follow up on after reading Vipers of Venice; to be a more effective participant in vid chat stuff I feel I need to find SOOOO much more…stuff on science that JPF references all the time, stuff on ancient history (I did two undergraduate degrees, one in Economics and Politics, one in Music, so I have done a fair degree of reading in those areas over the years) and religion generally. If anyone can point me to good free online sources in any of these areas I feel it will just save me some investigatory time and help me better appreciate the discussions I hope to be a part of for the future. I am happy to keep searching online myself, but would greatly appreciate any ‘guidance’ in finding open source sites that are easily accessible. I know this is pleading poor, but that is my reality for now, so I will do so, under the caveat that my intentions are ‘honest’…I have an insatiable curiosity, and a shitload of time right now, so I want to use it productively. Thanking you all in advance, and once again, it is nice to be among you all 🙂

    • If your ability to express yourself is reflected in your music, I dare say great.
I too was born into similar circumstances here in The United States and we are of the same age. We have an expression here for souls like us, “Pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.” Meaning grasp any and all opportunities deemed worthy that satisfy our inborn curiosity and add to our skill set. An idea from a thinking creative imaginative mind is the first action item for making stuff come alive. The items after, well then it gets tricky…😎

      Also. https://archive.org/
Plus folks post incredible stuff all the time.
Welcome aboard, sometimes it’s a bumpy ride.

      • Amen

        • Thanks again BillyBob…yes, pulling oneself up by whatever means is our common experience. I’m enjoying the bumpy ride, happy just to be in the saddle for now. I will look at the references you provide and see what ‘treasures’ I can find therein. I do already have the archive.org website saved…it’s where I got stuff on Giordano Bruno, and I will look for more on that site for sure. I signed up as a subscriber, so they now send me stuff too. The other site looks just as promising! Thanks for he reply 🙂

    • Hi Paul and a hearty welcome. No one is really poor. As financially self limiting as I am, I more than make up in sarcasm and anxious self-deprecating humor. I have limited time with work including as it turns out during the impostor’s apocalypse but I thought your message was well received.
I know Dr Farrell doesn’t like digital format because of the possible manipulation possible with these titles but I can certainly understand your situation. I have found some very obscure books on Google as scanned PDFs and on the Internet Archive ( https://archive.org/details/texts ). There is lots more there as well. From these sources you will have more than your fill.

      • Thanks Laurent, and I do appreciate both sarcasm and self deprecating humour too mate 🙂 I have accessed archive.org, with some success, and with some ‘failures’ re supposed titles found there that don’t come up when I go looking. As you say, there is a mountain of material there, and whilst the digital format is not as good as hard copy, it will serve as a good source for much that I am interested in 🙂
