Take a look at this: IEEE Spectrum Special Report: Can We Copy the Brain?
I find it very interesting that this is receiving such a huge push from them. Will we see them working on and pushing forward engineering standards for brain interface and communications? It sure looks like it to me. And typically, when they do start to push standards out, early market product and launches are close at hand.
