Aside from Iran’s declaration that they have “hard evidence” of foreign intervention in the protests, there seems little surprising here. What did the US expect to be the responses to their UN Security Council meeting request? Surely they’d “gamed” it out… why did they even bother? Another case of being completely out of touch or a strategy to get parties to show their hands (which it would seem to me said parties have already shown)?
