I don’t agree with the political views and interpretations of this article but the view of the deteriorating quality of the supposed leaders of the world seems pretty spot on to me.

    • Cara, Did you happen to watch/catch the part in the post above your’s ? RICHARD Gregory speaking in Chicago 2013. He goes into John McStain singing like a song bird after being captured in Vietnam. McStain’s cooperation caused Vietcong to alter their anti aircraft guns due to McStains treasonous singing describing US war and fighter planes flight patterns resulting in 65% increase success of Vietcong anti aircraft artillery . They adjusted them after McStain described fighter flight patterns. McStain was sentenced to death by firing squad for treason and only alive because Nixon pardoned him. Is the Atlantic a Rot shield pub? He needs a bump stock asap. Poor guy. Real POS. Sorry, real tired of blather that continues to obfuscating and giving voice to treasonous, criminals that continue to lie and inflict terror and death on innocents and the publications that aid and abet .

      • Hi Yiannis, I have seen elsewhere that McCain apparently was “not very brave and courageous” (to state it kindly) when he was in the armed forces. In the article above, we clearly have a McCain sycophant…. I was less interested in the author’s particular politics and more in the fact that he points to a deteriorating quality in leadership. For someone who is a part of the establishment elite, I think it’s interesting he holds this view. Also interesting to me based on your pointing out McCain’s many failings is the power and respect from these establishment types that he seems to have (have had)… so whatever he did in the military it seems not to have hindered his ability to wield influence and create sycophants in his wake. This too is somewhat significant: how much of political success is due to one’s ability to inspire this kind of myopic following in the establishment (regardless of one’s actions, politics, morality, or humanity)? Quite a lot I would say.
