Trading in fakes goes back a long long time. Nevertheless, it is possible that a well-crafted fake with all the right gnostic terminology etc. could have just as much effect in “cultural engineering” as a presumably real text.

And by the way I haven’t heard any complaints about the gamers’ big consumption of electric power and server memory space…
