My daughter and I have been watching the race-baiting for a couple of weeks. So sad to see the riots. Now I see why so many prisoners needed to be released. I do wonder if the second virus wave will show up in 3-6 weeks since none of the grouchi controls were observed. Or, or, or. Time to get out in the sun.

Tower of Babel-related book: Walker Percy, “Lost in the Cosmos”, first published in 1983. Using often hilarious character portraits, he goes into Saussure’s distinction between language and speech, the signifier and the signified, ending up with how communication with “cousins” on another planet might look like.
