Mars news not so surprising since it has been known for some years that moulds grow in space. Just search space station fungal and you will get a surprising answer as to why the ISS will soon have to be shut down.

Ive noticed a new(?) type of fungus that meteorologists include in allergy forecasts, called alternaria. Aspergillus(the unfriendly space brother) is a nasty enough critter here on earth.
There is an emerging body of literature showing a terrific phenotypic variation in A. fumigatus.”

“Fumigatus” can be countered by smoke perhaps…
Maybe time to break out the sage and smudge. Ive never done it, seems so Shirley MacLaine-ish, although I am a big fan of the medicinal properties of herbs and plants, and dispersing those properties via smoke makes some sense.
Sage is easy to grow in any garden
