GAME THEORY, the obsession of think tank oligarchs, with its neat flowcharts, claiming to solve the governance of the Universe. This is not to say it is not worth looking into, but as has been discussed off and on in this website, excessive reliance on it could lead to some of the more bizarre decisions we see. Where do these people get their ideas ? The mind of these people are on another wave length or dimension. The other day a friend of mine gave me this book about Neurolinguistic Programming written by Richard Bandler and John Grinder. I remember hearing Doctor Farrell saying that those techniques are really dangerous. They got this technique called emotional ankling where you can ankle emotions in parts of your body. Browse through the book but got a gut feeling the stuff is not for me.
I know the feeling! Their view of the universe is basically mechanistic – and thus actually out of touch with current scientific advances. But it is useful to oligarchs for keeping (or trying to keep) people in intellectual boxes. While they, or at least some of them, dabble in what can only be called the “dark arts”.
