The new address in London? Number 33 of course! The Anglosphere oligarchs are almost boringly predictable…

Dana .. well said .. “boringly predictable”.. of course it would HAVE to be 33 ..
There is a presumption among (esp. Christian fundamentalist) right wingers — majority on this forum (or so it seems) — that Freemasonry is pure evil, and that it started as pure evil. It is an axiom in many circles. I am not so sure that it was always like that, I think rather they were the most enlightened bunch of people in a Europe/America still mired in religious fundamentalism and obscurantism among the common people (i.e. until the 19th century). The founding fathers were Freemasons, for example, so do you reject the US constitution as evil ?
In my experience a Manichaean world view is not a useful way to look at reality. Which is not to say that Good and Evil do not exist. Anyway, when key institutions, such as churches or lodges, play an important role in a given society, they should be the object of intelligent scrutiny. Then there is the question of symbols and how power possessing classes use them…
I am against all secret societies — Freemason or otherwise — in today’s world.
The secrecy, in the past, was likely due to persecution by the Church, rather than any conspiracy.
But I agree that there is both good and bad in the phenomenal world, no one can deny that.
But of course in a country where there is repression, secrecy makes sense.
From my very small amount of research, the Constitution was derived from the Iroquois Constitution’s Great Law of Peace.
