If ever I felt confident in inferring a “dual use” to the engineering implications such a set up would infer, this would be an outstanding candidate for all KINDS of “End of The Twig” sorts of speculations. And keep in mind, for any technology that shows any sort of technological novelty. that agency that rhymes with LARP and has an additional “A” tacked on the end, has as their mission statement, the exploration of how any such technology might be, how should we say it, “put to other purposes”.
Interesting that it had to be Antarctica exhibiting this “time reversal”…
