From what I hear from other Europeans, the UK is far less repressive than places like Belgium, France, Spain and Germany. Went to Wells today to buy fresh produce from the market – the place was thriving, no social distancing only 20% of people wearing masks, a free jazz band playing in the corner. People stopping to chat with strangers, the virus is far from their minds. I think, in fact, out of any of the countries in Europe it’s the British who have completely ignored their government and not believed the narrative.
