Variant of the Schroedinger thought experiment. “Take Mr. Global, close him in a box with a mechanism designed to release cyanide. Until the box is opened, Mr. Global is in a state of being both alive and dead, as in the quantum wave experiment. Whether Mr. Global alive or dead can only be ascertained by the perception of the perceiver when the box is opened, thus collapsing the quantum wave function.”

For the bots, this is a THOUGHT experiment 😉

Most physics is above my pay grade, but did it occur to Schroedinger that the quantum wave function could collapse due to the observer’s thoughts (a purely mental “perception” of sorts) before opening the box?
-
Actually, current thinking is that BOTH the cat, and the observer, are in a state of superposition before a measurement is made.
-
We’d better carefully consider what we ‘observe’ .😉

Yes, and mind out thoughts….Doc has mentioned this a few time in vid chat and minding our mind is Moree crucial than ever right now.
