Visit by the Argentine to Iraq. Another odd detail: he was greeted with a military fanfare (implying recognition of his status as Head of Vatican City State) and then by the “Hymn of Joy”, which is the unofficial tune of the European Disunion. At that point I expected to hear It’s a Long Way to Tipperary. Then shouts in Italian “Viva il Papa”. More analysis to follow in due course 🙂

Augh, hurts to watch. The band sounded like they were using off key kazoos. The pomp and circumstances is nauseating and everyone wearing face masks reminds me of Nazis.

omg. i can’t watch! Please Father! Help us! Help all of the people on the planet fight against these terrible, Satanic forces. Amen!

Red uniforms and plumed helmets are an old British legacy.

This left me with a more humorous thought. Perhaps it might have been more palatable to the eye if he slid down the emergency chute rather than struggling down all those steps? Just imagine that wind and his downward motion raising his kilt up over his face to replace his mask. Divine intervention anyone? As for the band, perhaps the local elementary school band was previously engaged, hence not available. Just a couple thoughts that skidded through my brain. Nothing personal.
