Apparently Mr Payapal is up to his tricks again, and is not very “pally” with websites somebody doesn’t like.

    • Why folks use PP is a mystery as their terms and conditions
are outright gangster methods, not surprised by their recent moves.

      • hmmm.. let’s think about a decentralized, distributed way to send “money”, online, without a third-party involved. Does that sound good? “Cryptography” people?

        • Same old Globaloney playbook: use financial choke points to extort compliance. Just like they he uses SWIFT to try and make recalcitrant countries knuckle under, he’s going to use monopoly payment systems to silence dissident voices by cutting off their access to money. Or he’s going to try. The “alternative community” desperately needs workarounds for this, and I’m pretty sure existing cryptocurrencies, especially the most heavily promoted ones, ain’t gonna cut it. Do we really believe Mr. Globaloney is going to allow a technology platform or cryptocurrency to be widely promoted if it’s really a tool to free people from his banking system?? CAF’s idea is the best one I’ve heard so far: a proliferation of local currencies, crypto or otherwise. But, ideally, we also need a way of paying people who are not in our local communities.

            • Yes, some form of electronic or remote payment is essential. Remember back in the day when you could “wire” funds? That was long before the internet.

                • You still can, as far as I know. The issue, I think, is that it’s a bank-to-bank transfer, and for it to be possible, the banks have to participate in one of a very few nationwide, regional, or international payment networks. Control or regulate those networks or banks, and you control the ability to send long-distance payments.
