    This may seem strange to some of you in the “New World” but there are a lot of strands woven into history. Karl von Hapsburg recently conferred knighthoods at a ceremony, followed by the Austrian Imperial Anthem. The Vienna monarchy was abolished in 1919.

    • This seems as strange to me as the video of Philadelphia posted earlier by Foglamp, just in a different way. I think I’ve led a sheltered life.

      • Some of these historical families are more contemporary in their influence than we commoners are lead to believe.

          • Yes, the old families’ networks are strong and influential in all areas of life, including culture, politics, finance and religion.

            • It’s those Nephilim genes. They revel in the rigidity of rank and hierarchy, and love to preen and strut in elaborate uniforms and baubles. The House of Hapsburg is a shadow of its former self, but they just can’t let go. It’s who they are.
              This reminds of the time when Karl’s father, Otto, was asked whether he would be watching the Austria-Hungary soccer match and he replied, “Oh, who are we playing?”!
