Surely it’s more a question of electrical frequencies than just physical digging, travelling etc.: any weather front reduces immeasurably more energy than “ordinary” human activities. While cern-related doings may be another matter.

I’m pretty much unhappy with people who shut their brains off and accept whatever that little box says, be it radio or t.v. I honestly think our best hope for the short term is try to make as many connections as you can with SANE people who have turned off their TV, will laugh and agree if you say “Sean Vanity” (they have turned off their radios, too) and want to find a way to gather resources.
