I too recently had to drop an old friend from my Facebook contacts after a similar such encounter over an anti-mask article I posted. Increasingly, I have little time for people – friend or not – who do not share at least some conceptual and cultural ideas in common with me.

In the compost bin… but I have been in contact with another friend who has totally surprised me by being very pro police, pro Constitution and is as baffled by having to walk away from friends that we have known for 30 + years because they have apparently lost their minds. Aren’t socialism and wearing masks both signs of mind manipulation? Difficult to undo that hold on the frontal lobe…may need to add another symptom to dementia. Sad to loose old friends when they are ill and don’t understand what is going on in the world.

Said to be a Ruandan citizen doing work for the diocese and “upset” at not having his permission to stay renewed. Hard to say if this is true, anyway if everybody who had a grudge against the bureaucracy started burning down cathedrals there would really be a mess.
