Thinking of Dr. Farrell’s recent blog post, I wonder if some of these major cyber hacks are volleys in a covert war. Another part of me thinks it’s just more softening up the public to accept a digital ID to access the internet — I expect the shriek-o-meter to be shrieking about that at high volume after the upcoming Schwabian cyber exercise.

We already have a digital I.D. It’s called an IP address. “they” Simply do a search on an IP address and see what’s going on there.

Good point… For some reason, they’ve been babbling on about a digital internet ID for some time now. Maybe it’s cover for selling a universal biometric ID they want people to use for everything — getting on the internet, using transportation, crossing borders, and so on.

Yeah that would be ideal, a scannable UPC on each person or robot that routes all data to that record. The ultimate in asset and liability management.
