The Deal of the Century, not Bombast? I’m looking for symbolism here folks, help me out. Three pieces of music were played just before Trump and Netanyahu came out to announce the Deal of the Century. Piece 1 sounded familiar. What a Wonderful World? Is that cribbed from an older piece? Piece 2 was played briefly and I found myself visualizing the arrival of royalty, Piece 3 was the familiar ‘Trump’s here’ piece. Then a few minutes in, immediately upon compliments to Netanyahu, Trump turns, shakes Netanyahu’s hand and drinks a glass of water to applause. Upon arrival to the podium, Netanyahu takes a glass of water, remarks that in his country, we drink water as we embark upon a voyage, we are embarking on a voyage, a long voyage. Hmmn.
