Well, if there’s still 120 years to go, old Globaloney could stop and take a breather already.

If you were replying to my comment, it was probably my fault! I may have reopened it to make a correction while you were replying.

A fascinating question, with several aspects. First, there’s probably an answer somewhere in the critical social justice quackademic literature that would show why and when the term “woke” was initially chosen. Personally, I doubt the woke themselves chose it in order to discredit alternative media. I suspect the motivation behind it was t…[Read more]

        • Those are some great insights!

It occurs to me that this “woke” or “awoke” movement narrative is very, very old. I am thinking of the things like the “Great Awakening” in North America before the revolutionary war. I am not as well versed on that subject as I’d like to be but I find it fascinating (it’s timing before the revolutionary…

          • I’m not sure all the different so-called awakenings in history are related or that they were all instrumentalized by the puppet masters of the day. But as far as what makes it into the official history books, I agree that’s normally decided by the victors and/or puppet masters. That’s why it’s nice when academic disciplines aren’t…

I’ve been wondering something like that myself… Along the lines of: Is Mr. Globaloney expecting some solar or geophysical event that’s going to have a big impact on the planet? Is that why he seems to be in such a rush?

I think if you were born here, now, it was because — on some level, in some way or other — you were meant to be. Multiple spiritual traditions would ultimately reach this conclusion, albeit for different reasons. From that point of view and generally speaking, suicide would be tantamount to abandoning your duty, messing with the divine…[Read more]

It seems “useful idiots” are sprouting like mushrooms all over the Western world.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Lidl is a German company.

One of the things I loved about living in France was that they hadn’t lost the custom of going to a bakery every day to get fresh bread. It would barely last 24 hours. But there’s no comparison between real, fresh bread and the stuff you get in the supermarket in North America today.

I use to bake every Sunday. Sometimes sweets and sometimes breads – it took the whole day and I didn’t care 🙂 Home baked goods from scratch are really hard to beat.
One day I hope to have a day I can dedicate to baking again 🙂

A definite reminder of childhood… They grew all over the place in northern OH. Kids would pick and play with them, back in the days when kids played outdoors.

Interesting. I always knew you could use the leaves, but I didn’t know about the rest.

The news to me is that somebody in charge is basically admitting they have no idea what or how bad the adverse effects are.

Well, that’s a little too close for comfort… They’ve been talking about that in the Keys for a while now. I can’t believe the locals allowed it to happen.

Wasn’t Baal Gates or somebody talking about creating GMO tomatoes with vaxxes in them? (As if our food isn’t toxic enough as it is!)

The idea that Ukraine could get nuclear weapons is something I’ll take seriously when I see Russia set up nuclear bases in Cuba.

Those are some amazing gardens, judging by the pics. (I finally figured out to scroll down and close the big CV1984 notice to see the actual website.)

To Gabe’s question from the last vidchat, “Does anyone know of any source on the ancestry of King Clovis?”: To correct my answer, I was thinking of Gregory of Tours and his History of the Franks as a possible original source. https://www.britannica.com/biography/Saint-Gregory-of-Tours (Clovis wasn’t the first Frank or first Frankish king, but the…[Read more]

I wonder if the “defund the police” movement was, in part, created to make it easier to sell the idea of replacing human police with robots. If so, we can look forward to marketing ploys like “Robot police aren’t racist and can be programmed to enforce the law with equity…”

                                          • Hello Fiatlux,

Robots also have the gift of empty “pathy” (aka lack of empathy) not that the majority of those people weilding those mechanical pups are any better. Its exactly as you say that would be the logical grift behind it all.

The cyclical nature of everything has been grasped by various civilizations for thousands of years… However, I more or less agree with what he’s saying here.
