Haha… well Russian torpedo technology is very advanced. They have an underwater rocket propelled torpedo which creates an air bubble which is generated by its vibrating tip of the nose that does allow for a rocket engine to work underwater kind of like the imagined warp bubble in Star Trek. This torpedo travels well over 150 mph under water. This may have lead to the incident involving the Kursk which was to demonstrate the capabilities of this torpedo to the Chinese when it was damaged and went down in the bearing Seas during President Clinton’s term. So I would say that their technologies are more advanced then we give them credit. During last years fly by of a US Naval destroyer, the destroyer was virtually shut down and rendered helpless by unknown electronic warfare capabilities of the Russian fighter bomber. The theory of tidal wave causing torpedo isn’t that far of a stretch and the technology is there. Whether we have it or know it is unknown.
So only the “Russian Bear” would dream up such a heinous weapon? These “popular” websites are doing their bit in the disinformation game…
