Definitely helps those who CAUSE the flying lead, glass, bricks and so on. I think helmets are required for those seeking protection.

Let’s see what if anything comes of this. A few years ago there were articles asserting that a “treasure train” had been buried in a tunnel in those parts as well but then nothing came of it. I find it hard to believe that the Soviets (and later the Poles) did not undertake lots of explorations in this regard.
