    Culture Culture Culture

Where does culture come from? If we are to regain control of it, we should know where it originates.

As I see it, Culture is a derivative of a people’s geography through the food it eats. Whether through agriculture, hunting and gathering or lab grown, the primary relationship between Humanity and the Earth is through its food first and second through its history.
When you think back at your own personal culture, you can see the difference between high culture that is derived from the socially accepted high arts that are made possible in the context of a society (art, opera, music, movies, etc…) and what can be described and is more important as the family culture expressed in the meal/food/sustenance relationship and rituals within a family structure.
It seems to me that the destruction of a society can only happen if it’s relationship to its traditional food and feasts are severed or destroyed because this is the primary interface of culture to a person. It is not religion, art or literature. All of these become secondary activities and it seems that if we want to regain control of our culture, the primary focus should be on the food we make for ourselves and the tools we use.
How does the microwave fit into our culture? What does it bring to us and who benefits from this? Does this time saving device let us enjoy more time to ourselves and impart some special knowledge to our children for the ages or has that time been primarily for the benefit of feeding a culture of slavery that demands more and more of our time for less benefit.

Where is my All-American Apple pie made by a grand ma? How many Millennials could say that they are able to make they’re grandmas apple pie?
