Ooooooh, zip lines, sounds fun. Haven’t done them, but I was raised on Vancouver Island, and fell off enough beach cliffs as a child fooling around to get the general idea of the rush one must get. Nice to make your acquaintance as well. I have a good feeling about the people on this site, and their desire to “own the culture” as Dr. Farrell would say.

I’m a bit north in B.C. Had blizzard conditions for about 15 minutes, then back to the usual rain for this time of year. I mean this in only the best way possible, but I hope you get a ton of rain to fight that drought. We buy a lot of your fruits and veggies up here.

Visited Vancouver a few years ago. Did all five zip lines at Grouse Mountain. Beautiful place. And yes, we do need the rain. But El Nino has been stingy so far . . . just dribs and drabs so far. Very happy to make your acquaintance here!

You’re welcome. I’m enjoying looking in to the accomplishments of western civilization, as I think we’ve taken it for granted. The webinars have been crucial for me as a starting point to compare what the alternatives are to western civilization. For me there are no alternatives at this point. We are very fortunate for the work our ancestors did.

Hi Gazzman – in Southern California where it’s raining a bit. And you?

Nice little presentation by Stefan Molyneux about the crusades.
-
… and about the West’s struggle against Islam! The historical chronology ties in well with Dr Farrell’s latest webinar … thanks gazzman.

Watched this last night. Thank you for posting. Couldn’t help but reflect on how little of this information was taught when I was in school.

I’m not a religious person, but I have problems with evolution. If I understand correctly, we don’t have the precursor fossils to explain the Cambrian explosion. Also saw a doc. on bacteria phylum, and how it had 26 separate parts, all of which are needed for the tail to spin just like an outboard motor. If the parts appear slowly over long…[Read more]

@mclapsaddle This is the one listened to, the title got my attention. If you haven’t heard it, enjoy.
-
Thank you. This is the one I selected but waiting to watch it when I have more free time, maybe tomorrow. However, I’m sure I will need things to watch during the Christmas Holidays, when so many things are virtually shut down… things I’d be interested in, anyway, ; -)

@mclapsaddle Hello iluv. Hope things are well. I think downunder suggested listening to Manly P. Hall’s presentation on evolution, in the last vidchat…….so I did. Very interesting stuff.
Nice landscape photo, looks like Victoria B.C.

Yes I’ve watched it a number of times. Watching the dialogue showed me how much more I need to know. I love the webinar format. Dialogues are great, but the points made in a webinar are more direct and better timed if that makes sense?
By the way, I’ve tried to change my photo and it looks like it’s uploading, but doesn’t change. There is a bit…[Read more]

Looking forward to webinar on Islam. Much needed.
-
Well the way I am planning them they will be more like webinars on scholarship about it, than the thing itself.
-
In the just-posted dialogue w/ Daniel, Dr Farrell talks about the 2 aspects of Islam, the kind and gentle one vs the radicalizedt/apocalyptic one, its unreformed aspect. Helped me to understand better at a non-scholarly level.

Likewise on both aspects. The last webinar was a stunner! I actually understood the concept if not the underlying physics/math … intuitively. You have green hair? 😉 … [kidding]
