  It was interesting to watch this in Japan. 5G services became available for the first time in Tokyo, and a handful of other other major cities, on 31Mar20. Until then – apart from on that giant petrie dish moored in Yokohama, the Diamond Princess – there had been relatively few Covid cases. In April, the number of cases started to rise exponentially. This also coincided with the announcement (24Mar20) that the 2020 Olympics would be postponed. Coincidence? Hmmm…..

  Taking care of the future variants? Much of the hardware is in place and has been for quite a while but not the street level hardware.
