Been there MANY times too, i Zeta… reading helps, listening to music… George Anne Hughes painted (and she was a good artist). Whatever gets one out of the shallow end.

Most definitely. Mozart called it “the king of instruments”, and I think in part because it’s a very difficult instrument to learn.

It reminds me of a mix of The Entrance of the Gladiateurs and the theme music from a from a 1940’s black and white film. (with a bad guy with a handlebar moustache dressed in black..wringing his hands..next to a damsel in distress tied to a train track..)

Folks Catherine Fitts just informed me that the first phase of the virtual pipe organ crowdfund has been achieved, and I would like to thank all of you DEEPLY who contributed! Many, many thanks. After thirty years of not practicing steadily I am almost fearful at how badly things must have “deteriorated” but I am eager to get back into practice.
