I support Michael Yon on his Patreon channel and thought many of you would find this interesting. After serving in Special Forces in the 1980’s, Michael became an investigative reporter and photographer, often imbedded in our military in Afghanistan and Iraq, and lately covering insurgencies in Asia. He was attempting to get back to Hong Kong from Bankok but has been denied entry. Here is what he wrote in today’s entry called: China Lies and Rabbit Hunting: (it is in response to the latest numbers accidentally posted out of China suggesting over 100k infected with some 24+k deaths reported)

    China Lies, and Rabbit Hunting

When I was a boy, I used to hunt rabbits, which I cleaned and ate. To hunt rabbits, it helps to know rabbit habits.

There were two types of rabbits in my range: Swamp Rabbits, and Cottontails. Both types have rabbit habits that overlap, and differ on the Bunny-Venn-Diagram, popularly known as the BVG.

Swamp Rabbits and Cottontails converge on the BVG after summer rains. I am an original Florida-man and so after the sun showers and the fresh-smelling steam is rising off the vegetation, I would walk slowly down a path where I harvested rabbits as reliably as if I were picking oranges from a full tree.

You see, after rains, the rabbits come in the open near the edge of cover to dine on the wet grasses. If you go slow, often you can shoot one without the rabbit knowing you are there — too focused on eating and not enough of security. BANG. An hour later, dinner.

When the rabbits do see you coming, the Cottontails always bolt. Sometimes they get away, and sometimes I am faster with the shotgun. The Swamp Rabbits are different. When a Swampy sees you, it freezes, maybe hoping you don’t see it. I flip the trigger from shotgun to .22 rifle, aim, BANG. Rabbit with taters for supper.

Year after year, I killed countless rabbits all on the same path within just meters of the spot the last one leapt from into the frying pan. Next day, I would kill another in the same spot, the same way, coming from the same direction. They never learned. Like tuna. It was their nature.

I’ve watched the Chinese Communist Party for years. They lie. It is their nature. They tend to lie by about a factor of 10x. I have published this many times over the years. I do not pick 10x because it is a round number, but because that seems to be their approximate habit: 10x. Watch for yourself as the years unfold.

And now, in 2020, as various groups of researchers try to get a handle on the Wuhan Pandemic, CCP again appears to be understating severity by about a factor of 10x, or even more.

When China is caught lying, it never folds. Their nature is to lie. To double down. To make counteraccusations. To deflect. Deflect to Japan and to United States, their two favourite targets.

No matter what the cost to others or to the world, they will never cave for any moral obligation. They have no morals. Like a psychopath. They would as soon see millions of people die than lose an ounce of precise gold.

Likewise, one should beware of their financial estimations of economic growth or contraction, and ROI for American “experts” who have been foolish enough to invest American retirement funds into China. Learn to fast.

I do not represent or know if these figures attached are true. What I do know — as much as I can spend 15 minutes hunting a rabbit before I deliver it cleaned to the kitchen — is that the Chinese Communist Party lies. Always. Always. CCP lies as a default. Even with CCP tells the truth, it is in support of a greater lie.

If you are American and you are not taking this seriously, you need to slow down and pay attention. If nothing else, the economics of this pandemic will hit everyone.

    CCP will destroy the world

    • Interesting post justawhoaman. All I can share back is I still have a strong ties in Europe- Poland to be exact and everybody is excited to the future of Chinese Belt and Road Initiative. All businesses are salivating about prospective profits from dealing with China. But there are more and more sobering voices in regard of PRofC. Eastern Europeans collective memory reminds often about “Golden Horde: another Asian “initiative” that brought us plunder, rape and fire.
Also in todays news another fact, kind of in the line of Michael Yon writings.
My comment is, I thought that only older people with chronic health problems were supposed to die from this virus , I guess not.
