      This type of activity is so irrational that it lends credence to the thought that thinking at all is ‘out of vogue’ – perhaps that’s the whole ‘idea’.
      A couple quotes from the article – “The Oxford academics went on to pronounce that teaching the piano or conducting orchestras could cause “students of colour great distress” as the skills involved are closely tied to “white European music”.”
      “…the Oxford faculty is also considering placing a heavier emphasis on “non-Eurocentric” musical traditions such as Hip-Hop and Jazz…”

        Are the people with enough money to send their kids to Ivy League schools going to keep paying through the nose to have their sons and daughters subjected to this kind of lunacy?? Especially parents from outside the Western world who have, up to now, been sending their kids to (formerly?) top universities in the U.S. and Europe? You’ve got to wonder.
