The rumors have been running around for two weeks now. I don’t think a military intervention in Venezuela is a good idea. That country is bigger than Iraq and it would require long term military presence there. Also let’s take into account the religious aspects, this is a Christian Country. That will provoke a bad reaction from all the Christian Countries in the region.
Americans don’t need this stress right now and neither the people in Puerto Rico. It would be a geopolitical disaster because people in South America are going to resent that. Say whatever about South America, but these people have tried to maintain the peace with all of their neighbors.

I am very upset about this. We have a bankrupt Island with a fiscal oversight board that knocked the territorial Constitution. Thousands of people living on poverty. A territorial Governor with no political power and he is mingling in the political affairs of a Sovereign Country.
He is an abject lackey and does not represent me! He should not be involved in the affairs of sovereign countries. For the record many of us are not on board with this. This is a drama that we don’t need.

I bet they have gold. They also have a crap load of CRUDE oil, not to be confused by the US vast supply of low quality SHALE oil. Catherine Austin Fitts said it best, she’s not worried about the Dollar collapsing in the near term, because the Empire will resort to war before that happens. Sacking Venezuela could be a multi-pronged objective, 1) control the oil, 2) pillage the countries gold reserves, 3) it would be a major blow to China (a major backer of Venezuela). Food for thought…
