George Makinto (aka MacIntosh) would go to African countries to make friends with people who played local music. He would teach them western harmonics. The resulting music was fascinating!

I will say that any kid who grew up with a grand piano has thought about going beyond the mere play with these techniques on the raw strings. Brilliant. Love the “Vier Minuten”. I can relate… of course I was better making noises than I was at serious playing despite years of lessons! LOL. Thanks for bringing those two videos to our attention. What a wonderful break (and chance to hear some jazz GREATS!)
