Message for @joseph – I need to politely correct an assumption you have mistakenly made. (*REF: Lunar launch vehicle from moons surface.) It is incorrect to believe that explosives will not work in a void. Proof 1 (video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8MljsHpYRk Proof 2) At one point I was tasked w/ creating a linear charge for use in a 100 percent void, so, simply speaking, I set a ribbon charge inside a piece of tubing, sealed it.. “bang.” Proof 3) You can alter that #2 gas into part O2 and part Hydrogen or Acetylene and get a whopper explosion, If you make the 1 ribbon inside a tube, seal it, then insert that into another tube w more exotic gasses, you can create some fairly spectacular results.
Bottom line however? No atmosphere, containing O2 is required for a chemical detonation, in case of “backup” and encased demolition strip may be employed. (Not UFO Science.) Thanks, Ice
