Interesting article by Vladimir Putin…they appear to understand the nature of the spiritual/cultural war waged by the west. (excerpt) “…It would not be an exaggeration to say that the path of forced assimilation, the formation of an ethnically pure Ukrainian state, aggressive towards Russia, is comparable in its consequences to the use of weapons of mass destruction against us.” I would also, for my part, say this is valid for any country or peoples, where these tactics and techniques are used against them, and their cultural/spiritual heritage.

    • I know “The Saker” is held in high regard by some but I see to much red longing for blood put out in a religious sauce I do not care for. His “disdain” for people who are not on the C-train is astounding and reeks of zealotism.

        • I’m not concerned with the Saker site or anything it had to say, I was merely posting the link to the paper written by Putin, and the quotation I cited came from the source, i.e., from Putin’s paper posted on the Kremlin’s own site…here’s the same paper (the source) from the Kremlin’s website…

          • Zealotic is too generous for him. It is simply ignorance and pseudo-orthodox propaganda for Kremlin. The way he narrates Russian Orthodox Church history is quite untrue. He gets called on it by his readers in a comment section all the time and still continues to propagate falsehoods. Done reading him long time ago.

          • Rather pathetic attempt by Mr. Putin to rewrite history of Eastern Slaves. Audacity of all, he has written it in Ukrainian language. And Ukrainians are not buying it at least dozens of the ones I know.

              • Well if you have some good sources on Slavic history, by all means share them, I’m interested in digging into that anyway. All I do have that’s even close to the subject is The Origins of Russia by George Vernadsky, The Icon and The Axe and The Face of Russia, both by James H. Billington, and Medieval Russia’s Epics, Chronicles and Tales ed. by Serge A. Zenkovsky, at least that’s all I can think of off the top of my head in my library.…along with too much Byzantine history to name. So please by all means share some of your sources for further research.
