The disparity in numbers is more than a little disconcerting with reports saying ER’s are jammed and then skeptics find them empty. We have more than a little reason to question the severity, not of the virus, but of the numbers to conclude epidemic levels, let alone pandemic (PLANDEMIC, yes). Hmmm. Is this in response to my faraday bag comment? Answer for that one is, no only when I pull it out of the bag. I often don’t turn in off – just bag it to keep it from sending or receiving

I didn’t read the Faraday post. Will look for it. I remember hearing or reading that if the phone is turned off, it still pings as it passes the towers. Maybe it’s the GPS portion that pings, or the little chip. Not sure. I’m planning to ditch the smart phone and hope to find a mobile without GPS and easy to remove chip, if they still exist.…[Read more]

Fine, I live in a small town a few minutes from the countryside, and the pace is quite relaxed. I try to cheer up people I meet, often depressed by watching tv (though actually many are seeing through the “fear pòrn”. Little do they know that if they occupied themselves with the topics we delve into HERE, their hair would probably stand on end.

It’s reported to be a lockdown but the police have only got powers to disburse groups of people and they say only essential workers to carry on working but no formal law so plenty of businesses are still operating. Spoke (video call) with a relative Sunday who lives in northern Spain. She is American (Mexican/Anglo heritage) married to a Basque Spaniard. She did the six foot spacing while buying groceries from a truck that comes once a week and the locals thought it quite odd. They are all in lock down.
