To praise, even internally, one’s own philosophical comprehension is of the worst folly, as it is God that gives liberally to those who seek.

A billboard I saw today: “It’s technology that makes healthcare more human.” – Sutter Health Care.

… “Humanity makes healthcare more technological”. … just a suggestion for their next billboard.

We need more positive stories here at Giza, as often the weight of global negativity is quite draining.

I couldn’t disagree more. And I’ll take my position one step further, as arguably, the very cosmos itself arose out of a “stress vector”. Talk about life being “stressful”, that is, in the best sort of way. But hey, to each their own.

Why did you sit down to read that book? Because your mind was stressing for growth. Why did I get that promotion at work? Because I stacked those stress variables and succeeded. Why did I lift that extra 50 lbs at the gym? Because my body and mind was stressing for growth. Why did I ace that test? Because I added those extra hours of study into my…[Read more]

Just finished Thomas Cahill’s, “How the Irish saved civilization”. It’s a great little book. Trying to sum up 1500’ish years in 250 pages is quite the task, but I think he did a nice job. A book like this only opens the door to more research, something I truly love!
