It was, however, a little frustrating that – despite having been asked twice – he failed to explain how he made the connection between the DoD’s announcement this week at the Fort Bragg troop event and JFK’s NSMs of fifty-seven years ago. In his remarks, Ezra Cohen-Watnick did reference the “vision” of JFK, but not NSM 57. Perhaps there is reference to NSM57 in Section 922 of the fiscal year 2017 National Defense Authorization Act, which mandated the reforms? Or Perhaps Daniel was protecting sources and methods?
