The maddening saga of how an Alzheimer’s ‘cabal’ thwarted progress toward a cure for decades:

    • I agree that the development of effective ‘treatments’ for dementia have been ‘steered’ or simply derailed.
Perhaps of interest, my Mother suffers from this condition. When she reached a point of staring over the abyss (extreme physical weakness and inability to communicate), I was finally able to convince family members that it was time to try something outside of mainstream medical parameters. That was several months ago. At present Mom has regained physical vigor, has increase her vocabulary remarkably and is at the point of uttering cohesive sentences; she also laughs again. What has been implemented for my Mom may not be the solution for others But if people are willing to look outside of the very tiny box that the mainstream medical community has to offer, they may also find that the outlook for their loved ones is also not so bleak.

        • Do you have any recommendation for that first step outside the box? Thanks

            • I have a firm belief in the Hippocratic Oath of First, do no harm. That is the edict I bounce everything I consider suggesting to others off of. The other thing I do along those lines is that whenever possible/practicable, I test things on myself before giving them to others.
Having said all of that, here is how I went about my Mother’s situation…
Review all prescriptions for ‘published’ side effects and assess their manifestation in the person of focus. If they appear to be causing or amplifying the problem(s), taper the dose over a period of time until it can be eliminated (this should preferably be done with input from a medical professional). I will add and emphasize that some medications may not be suitable for elimination; point in case is that I did not eliminate my Mother’s thyroid prescription – a) I had no way to monitor this delicate balance b) I had no viable alternative for the Rx. I actually had testing done which resulted in an increase of dose for this medication.
Next, I evaluated diet and made changes to that in accordance with her various conditions.
Supplements were also added (just a few) that aid in overall detox and immune system strength.
A stretching and exercise routine was implemented and adjusted as needed and as improvement allowed.
Sleep conditions were improved. Mental stimulation activities were incorporated into the daily routine (this included certain types of music). There is more but I think this probably enough to get you started. I’ll just add this note – I’ve been educating myself and practicing alternative health for more than two decades now so it was easier for me to go down this path than it may be for people who have not; however, if you never start, you never begin a journey. People can ‘start’ anytime.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions on the subject that you think I may be able to provide some assistance with, feel free to ask.

                • Have you ever looked into the use of saturated fats like coconut oil? I’ve heard some stories, admittedly anecdotal, of folks that are caring for a parent, just adding spoonfuls of coconut oil into their meals and drinks. In conjunction with detoxifying protocols and environmental hygiene (electro-smog, utensils, cleaning and personal hygiene products), the change was profound. As you say, ‘do no harm’ is the bare minimum. If that cannot be met in the mainstream, no wonder people have to find their own path.

                    • Yes, coconut oil (unrefined and organic) does offer some benefits (people can cook with it vs. adding it to meals/drinks if that works better for the recipient) as do mushrooms (some more than others). On the personal hygiene and cleaning products, I would only add that they should be free of toxic ingredients.

                    • Thank you for your reply. Believing an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, I have also been educating myself on alternative health for many years. Subscribing to various newsletters and websites. Dr Mercola is my favorite. He was recommended to me by an M.D. Do you know other?
As no one can escape from the chemtrails that are filled with heavy metal, I am very interested in a detox protocol if you have any suggestions. Thanks again.

                        • While I don’t always agree with them (for example, I don’t believe any one type of diet is right for everybody), but I’ve found these two useful several times:
                          https://www.drweil.com/ (integrative M.D.)
https://chriskresser.com/health-solutions-library/ (non-M.D. functional medicine practitioner; I especially liked his info on gut healing). I’m pretty sure PiPoe will have more info.

                          • Elana Freeland is the expert on chemtrails. Some of her tips regarding Morgellons disease are (I think) potentially relevant to detoxing from chemtrail junk: https://www.elanafreeland.com/morgellons-synthetic-biology. I’ve heard Elana mention that herbalist Tony Pantalleresco has a protocol(s) for detoxing from chemtrails, but I’m not sure if he has a website.

                            • Dr. Tom Cowan has some useful information on his website. https://drtomcowan.com/
Part of the detox protocol I use includes the topical Magnesium product he offers. Referring to Elana Freeland, one of her detox methods is bathing in three ingredients, one of which is Epson salts – a magnesium source.
Another detox product is organic apple cider vinegar with the Mother (I use Braggs) – my preferred way to ingest it is a cap-full shot every morning but that can be a bit much for some people so incorporating it into a salad dressing is one alternative.
Another detox ingredient I use is activated charcoal; I add it to toothpaste (or make my own with French Green clay, baking soda, and a little edible peppermint oil + the above mentioned charcoal).
Keeping the digestive system flowing is important – an organic tea (Smooth Moves – Original) has been very effective in this regard.
Eliminating or mitigating EMF as much as possible in the environment is very important in my opinion. A lot can be done without breaking the bank – there are a number of websites on EMF that can help with this.
As FiatLux mentioned, Tony Pantalleresco has some ideas on detoxing from chemtrails – I do not currently employ any of his methods but here is a link so you can explore for yourself – https://everydayconcerned.net/2016/04/03/how-to-detoxget-rid-of-the-nanotechnology-from-chem-trails-in-your-body/
In addition to including organic non-GMO foods in the diet as much as possible, ensuring a daily intake of healthy water is so important – Dr. Cowan has talked about water.

                          • I’ve been on a seven-year health roller-coaster, been through the medical wringer, and spent countless hours (weeks, months…) researching the conditions that affect me. I can’t speak to dementia, but in general, I’d say the first step outside the box is to make up your mind to never put 100% faith in any doctor’s opinion. Then cultivate the habit of doing your own research, referring to both “official” medical sources and alternative sources.

                              • Just an add…
If you can find a good Naturopath, they can help speed up the learning process.

                                  • I wholeheartedly agree, especially if you’re just taking your first steps outside the box.

I myself have seen (among others) a nutritionist, an acupuncturist, and a rheumatologist who practices integrative medicine… I’ve learned things, and gotten various types of help, from all of them.

                                  • Fiatlux. I agree completely!
                                    Awomen 🙂

                                    • Can someone help me with my confusion? Please.
Why can I only up or down vote some post but do not have a comment option?
Also some of my comments are going under the incorrect post?

                                        • After a certain number of replies to replies, the option to reply goes away. This keeps there from being too many “nested” replies.
