    Does anyone have suggestions of good symbol books? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

        I do suppose it depends on what you mean by symbols…esoteric, heraldry?? &c &c…but for my two cents I’ll throw a few titles at you from my library.
        1) Henry Cornelius Agrippa’s “Three Books of Occult Philosophy” (ed. Donald Tyson)
        2) Psychology and Alchemy by C.G. Jung
        3) Genesis of the Cosmos by Paul LaViolette (where he gives a very interesting analysis on the tarot deck from a physicists’ perspective)…originally published under the title “Beyond the Big Bang”
        4) The Oxford Guide to Heraldry by Woodcock & Robinson

            Like the Dictionary of Symbols by Carl Liungman. Rather extensive although some of the detail you may be looking for is not there. Taschen does publish quite a number of interesting works. While limited in scope, their Alchemy & Mysrticism by Alexander Roob is curious.
