    • The matrix is collapsing! omg! I always prayed for the day. And now we’re all about to live through it. God bless. https://mailchi.mp/tomwoods/colleges?e=e72aacb788

      • All the more reason not to eat fast food crap. First rule of engagement ,,dont engage.

        • “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”

            • Hmmm, call me a heretic, but The Serenity Prayer may sound fine and dandy; but, to me, it smacks of a livestock management tool along the same lines as, “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s”….

                • I agree that religious teachings have been used at various times in history to keep the masses in submission. On the other hand, I myself like the Serenity Prayer. There are things in life a person can’t change, some of them pretty hard to deal with (e.g., a physical disability or loss of a loved one). It can be really helpful to an individual to come to accept those things. Acceptance, in this sense, doesn’t mean you have to cooperate with evil.

                  • “Can’t” is not a word I put much stock in. “Won’t” yes, “Impractical” yes, etc.
I think the Serenity Prayer is a useful coping tool and it can be misused as an excuse for inaction.

                      • Hi again PiPoe,
I know what you mean. There are days when there isn’t anything i “cannot” do – those are my better days. Then there are days when i ‘fall’ and i “won’t” allow myself a helping hand so i can steady myself to stand. And i know how “impractical” desperation can be – how it only necessitates a further plunge into a downward spiral. The Serenity Prayer is as you said a useful coping tool to get through those moments, but as anything else it can be misused. It is a blessing to have people around you who understand the difference and care enough to help you see your own inaction, snapping you back into reality. Thank you once again for the reminder.

                      • Hey Foglamp,
Hope you have been well and sorry for the late reply. I cannot call anyone a heretic and i understand what you mean. I first learned the serenity prayer a long time ago in Alcoholics Anonymous, it has over the years helped me in times of trouble, especially when i have been alone and felt great despair in moments of weakness.

                          • No need to apologise, thank you, Thomas. I know life is very tough for you at the moment; but, please, know this in your heart: Thomas, you are God’s light, you are God’s love. You are NEVER alone and never need feel despair. You can always draw on that light and that love in those moments of weakness, which we all experience. Blessings to you and the family whom you love so much.

                              • Hello again Foglamp,
Thank you for everything you wrote. I would like to believe it wholeheartedly without any doubt and try daily to gather myself so that one day I will be secure in that notion of my own light and love, it is something that I strive for. I pray everyday not just to God but to my parents who are no longer of this earth but who were simple people with honor love and respect. I apologize and explain because i wish to honor those who honor me. Each has taken time to answer me and share a part of themselves with me. Time is precious and the people here at Giza yourself included honor me by sharing with me moments of your time. I am grateful and feel blessed so I wish to express it the first chance I get and in the best way possible. Thank you once again for everything. My best to you and wish you a wonderful rest of the weekend .

                              • Thank you for your beautiful words and spirit. You can re-program yourself to be secure in the knowledge of your own light and love. Repeat the knowledge to yourself, and allow yourself to accept the knowledge in order to know it. You are indeed blessed, and you are yourself precious also.
