Perhaps this is of interest and perhaps not. However, in case it is, I will tell my story.
Today I went to the grocery store (not my local one) to make bulk purchases. I do this every two weeks or so. My local store is much more expensive so I only buy minimal from them.
After compiling a mass amount of food items in my cart and having it checked through, I attempted to pay. This particular store only accepts cash or debit cards. I only had one debit card on hand. The clerk told be it was expired; it was. Totally my fault in not paying attention to my cards (had a new one but didn’t clue in that it needed to be activated so soon).
You may be thinking “Yeah, bad day PiPoe but why tell us?”
Because, upon reflection, I think my experience today may be what could be experienced by many should they not have a ‘green light’ social passport (likely via cellphone at least in the beginning). This disturbs me; I hope it disturbs you too.

    • I feel the same way. Where this is implemented, you won’t even be allowed through the front door without a “green light” pass. I’m disturbed by this, and I’m disturbed that more people in the general public aren’t disturbed by it. Those who don’t want to live in a CCP-style social-credit system need to resist this in any nonviolent way possible. Just as important, in my opinion: Start thinking NOW of ways you, in your particular location and circumstances, might be able get around this kind of system if, heaven forbid, it does get implemented.

      • Like watching those old Nazi movies in the past where “they” asked for your “papers”.

Now, they won’t have to ask, the surveillance algorithm will be your judge, jury, and executioner.

        If wronged?
        Oh well, another computer glitch.
        By design.

        • I was at the Grand Canyon a couple weeks ago and wanted to get some postcards ($1.50). I got out some cash, and they told me they only accept plastic. I did not get the postcards.
