Okay. Ugh. Ugh? Why are we focused on things that ‘go bump in the night’? (Yes, mea culpa)
We can all see that society is degenerating into the ‘s**t hole”. So why, other than to keep abreast of things, do we focus on current events?
Why do we not instead focus on what we can Do? Perhaps we do not understand what we are capable of and therefore remain in limbo.
Is this where we are? Because if it is, we need to find a path forward. And I think many here have ideas in that regard.

    • I try to focus on planting seeds of truth while avoiding argumentative people. I plant the seed and wait for individuals to return looking for facts. Kovid has progressed far enough now that arguing over its very existence has become futile. All my siblings can’t wait for their jabs because they think life will go back to normal even though the old media is promoting a new normal. They seemed to have chosen to ignore that. More important things on their minds I suppose. I’m still planting seeds though, it seems the natural thing to do.

        • Bravo! Does that make you/us Counter-Farmers?!

Planting seeds is great Bluenose; we can all do this until the Gestapo becomes too prevalent. Then it may be more prudent to keep our own counsel.
The talk is that we are involved in a spiritual war. I agree, and, it is also has a physical front (the basic necessities for life – food, shelter, water, etc. are threatened and let’s not forget freedom).
The physical aspects need to be dealt with locally (stock our pantries – for at least one growing season, have a means to acquire healthful water, reduce exposure to wireless devices, etc.).
The spiritual side is a bit more complicated; this encompasses multiple ‘locales’. There is no single ‘correct way’ to approach this; there do appear to be certain methods and focuses that may be more effective. I do not think this area has been discussed enough. Perhaps because it’s a touchy subject for many and traversing this minefield without causing any explosions is challenging.
Any thoughts on an interest in approaching the spiritual side and if so, ideas on how best to go about it?

                Idea #1:
Define “spirit”, and, if different, “Spirit”.
That should provide an intelligence as to any approach.

Can you elaborate Wu Wu? I’m not sure I’m understanding what you’re getting at. Thanks 🙂

              • My thought is, in this time when every effort is being made to keep people apart, do whatever you can to interact, in person whenever possible, with people who are at least partially like-minded. At least like-minded on the idiocy of the CV1984 measures. This can have a practical as well as a psychological (and maybe, to some extent, spiritual) benefit. Besides offering the possibility of building a network of contacts, there’s something uplifting and energy-sustaining about being around people who aren’t wrapped up in pandemic hysteria. I recently visited an area of my state that, unlike my present location, doesn’t have a local mask mandate, where about half the people don’t wear masks, and where I saw people inside shops (including shops with “mask required” on the front door) walking around maskless without being harassed. It’s hard to describe how liberating and invigorating it felt simply to be in that environment.

The kind of interaction of which I speak is something that can, to some extent, be done online. It has taken place on this forum, and I find it exceptionally valuable. I realize that bringing up these subjects annoys some members. But the simple fact is, the CV1984-related government measures are having a profound effect on many people’s lives, and alternative thinkers are going to want to discuss it with other alternative thinkers; this site is one of the few places such thinkers (thinkers as opposed to just alternative) are to be found. Nobody is stopping anybody from bringing up other topics, and I myself enjoy reading about many of the various topics that have been brought up here.

I’m so glad you had that “liberating” experience in your state! Yay!
I had a similar one a few days ago. I took a drive up into the mountains and found a pub/eatery that did not have any sign about masks. I went in and nobody was wearing masks. You could sit inside and eat without social distancing. I chatted with a few folks – I was so happy I kept smiling even when eating my BLT and fries 🙂 Marvelous! (My hot cocoa had whipped cream, chocolate sauce and a cherry on top too!) Oh! and I was told about a few other places not too far away that have similar freedoms. I plan to visit them soon.
