      Hello and good morning PiPoe,

      Fireflies have been magical creatures for me since I was a child. Although I would see many of them growing up in the 70’s and lesser still in the 80’s now it is a rare occasion if i ever see one across the span of 3 summers. They have almost earned a mythical status, it’s as if I am chasing the illusive TinkerBell. These days more and more, I wish I really were Peter Pan.

        Hello again PiPoe,

        I forgot to say thank you and God bless you for this. Forgive me, I am spiritually cold and exhausted but this was a bit a fire that was so needed and unexpected.

                My siblings and I used to try and catch them in glass jars when we were kids, not easy when they’d escape into the tall hay which we were forbidden to enter as flattening it down made it harder to mow. That tall hay could also be quite intimidating in the dark…who knows what really lurks there after the sun sets. 🙂
