Now there is the Ukrainian airliner that dropped at Teheran Airport 3 minutes after takeoff. Just what are the odds of THAT specific country being involved just by pure chance? Was there someone “special” on board? Still, we do live in strange times….

Our home was surrounded but thankfully we were spared. Down the road was a different story though. Homes, sheds, vehicles and a pig that wasn’t released got taken. So sad, all of it. We have wildlife coming in for water and food every day now. Were you affected Freefall?

BW.. I am ok here (at this stage) .. We had our first turn on the 13th Nov .. NOTHING compared to the eastern states .. Livestock and houses lost but no deaths .. We still have Jan and Feb to go .. Todays forecast here: 44 degrees with screaming northerlies .. Not good ..

This just makes me sick. I pray for all of you in Straya…. As a bird watcher, I went to the NT to study Kakadu National Park two years ago and can not begin to fathom the loss of habitat throughout the country, let alone the loss of human habitation, farms and ranches. What a helpless feeling…

Some of these pictures remind me of the sovereign holidays with moderns dressed in traditional clothing. I was in Vienna this year at the beginning of Oktoberfest and the sight of families dressed in traditional garb, from German to Austrian, on the tramway was particularly heartwarming. Thanks for sharing, Barbara.
