You knew it was going to happen.

    • First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

        • … and for some reason I didn’t find it strange that the socialists disappeared, and then the others in succession … oh, uh, and I didn’t have a weapon to defend myself.

        • Good morning Robert,

As if this was an expected consequence of ‘freedom’ in the testing ground country of Israel, i do not see other countries in the European continent falling far behind. How does one fight this, which is considered by the ‘institution’ a necessary step (dripping of coercion). More and more we see functions (over)flowing in just one direction and to what end? Nothing positive for the citizens of any land. Wish you a wonderful day despite the knowledge of this psychologically debilitating update.

            • I can only see two ways to fight or cope with it (doesn’t mean there aren’t more). One is noncompliance on a massive scale. If there isn’t a critical mass of people where you are who are willing to go that route, the only thing I can think of is to look at examples from history for ideas: How did Christianity survive the initial persecutions of Rome? How did Judaism survive expulsions, pogroms, etc.? How did religious separatists of all stripes preserve their faiths? How did people survive and get around the system in the Soviet Union? Some of the ways: determination, emigration, mutual-support networks, black markets, personal connections with local officials willing to ignore the rules, and going underground. I’m not saying that I advocate imitating all these things; this is just meant as food for thought.

                • Hello FiatLux,

Thank you for taking time to provide avenues of hope for us all, i appreciate all your help, positivity and heartfelt compassion. Looking to our history as you suggested might give us some insight into how we might proceed with something similar tactics or using the template as a guide and modifying in the hopes that our adaptation will have success in overcoming obstacles in this hard road ahead. I wish you well and hope you have a wonderful rest of the day.

              • I can’t believe the Israeli community is allowing this subtle form of tagging to take place.

                  • Hello Michael,

I don’t believe that the Israeli people are given much of a choice in the matter. There has been some pushback but the reaction from the government and authorities has been hard, fast and brutal. Dr. Farrell in a recent vidchat mentioned the videos of police and military in Israel dragging people away which did not have the certificate to lock them up. Hope you stay safe, strong and sane wherever you are.
