I’m watching a video on surveillance capitalism which has the author being interviewed. Of course, the subject revolves around predictive algorithms.
I think their accuracy is way off base.
At least my experience w/them is that they’re dumb as hell.
So for me, these genius algorithms of prediction are a market feature to be sold to “believers”; not thinkers.
I mean, the more you believe them; the more they’re manipulate you and profit from that belief[i.e., you pay google to advertise].
Oh it’s good in specific cases[i.e., pregnancy], but more in the biological sense; than in predictive mind reading].
IMO
In other words, I’m not buying this story whole cloth.
Now they can manipulate behavior; especially w/outside coordination of other in-house players
[i.e., Facebook/Media/CIA]
That is going on BIG TIME
Look at the current NCAA basketball games and record misses/ 1 of of 15 three point shots(championship play?). Last night Michigan missed 8 shots in a row during the last couple of minutes?
Now that’s awesome manipulation.
IMO by an unseen hand.
I’m an odds kind of guy. One or two or three; but night after night; game after game?
Add to it; that “they” have the technology[mind control] and want a proof of concept; especially one in-your-face like a worldwide watched championship game.
Plus, you can literally bet; and that’s a money maker!
